formbase has AI built into every stage of form building — generate, refine, translate, and analyze responses from the AI chat in the app.
What AI does here
- Generate — turn a prompt, PDF, or screenshot into a working form. See AI form generation.
- Refine — chat with AI inside the editor to add fields, restructure pages, and tweak logic.
- Translate — translate your form into multiple languages with context-aware AI.
- Analyze submissions — ask questions about your response data in natural language and get summaries, trends, and recommendations.
- Translate individual submissions — turn prose answers into your workspace language while preserving original values. See Translate a submission.
- Manage your workspace — create forms, organize folders, publish, send requests, and set up share links through conversation.
- Teach AI with skills — give AI reusable instructions and domain knowledge it follows on demand (Pro). See AI skills.
All of these are available through the built-in AI chat. Publishing, deleting, and revoking a share link need your approval before they run — you stay in control.
AI chat needs a signed-in formbase account. It is not available while you are trying formbase as a guest.
AI credits
Every AI action spends credits from your balance. You buy credits in packs when you want them, on any plan; no plan includes credits. Purchased credits never expire, and a Business owner can share theirs with the whole team. See AI credits & usage for pricing and packages.
Prefer your own AI tool? Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other agents can work with formbase over MCP instead, and that spends no formbase credits — your AI tool bills you. See Connect an AI agent.
